Aspire International School celebrated Marathi Diwas with full zeal. Marathi Bhasha Diwas is celebrated in honour of the Marathi Language. It is celebrated every year on 27 th of February to rejoice the birthanniversary of Dyanpeeth Award Winner late poet V.V. Shirwadkar who is also known as Kusumagraj.

Marathi being the official language of the State of Maharashtra, the main focus of this celebration was to promote the Maharashtrian culture amongst the students of Aspire International School. The
assembly commenced with the teachers performing a Marathi song. The Guest of Honours present were Ms. Nandini Naukarkar, Mr. Mahesh Patrikar, Ms. Rashmi Tripude, Ms. Vrushali Waghule, Mr. Swapnil Waghule, Ms. Gowri Mehar, Ms. Megha Golcha, Ms. Kalyani Jaiswal, Madhu Madam, Ms. Vaishali Waghmare, Ms. Madura Mehul, Ms. Manisa Malviya, Mr. Jishan, Dr. Urmilla and Savi Group.

The students of Nursery to KG II dressed themselves as famous Maharashtrian Leaders and performed on the stage enthusiastically. The students of Grade 1 to 3 recited popular poems on Marathi language. Students of Grade 4 and 5 participated in the Marathi Essay Competition. Students of 6 to 9 participated in the Marathi Speech Competition. Many students of the school participated in the event actively and showed their patriotism towards the language enthusiastically. The school also organized a ramp walk where the students from Grade 1 to 9 took part in the event to show their hidden talents.

The whole crowd enjoyed the programme. We, at Aspire International School believe that exposing students to multiple languages enhances their access to people and resources, for better communication and fruitful travel experiences. It also facilitates the students to gain a better understanding of varied cultures and unfamiliar customs. Thanks to the School Management and the Principal Ms. Rashmi Shendre for enabling the teachers and students to actively participate in the Marathi Language Day Celebration.
